ALL Patapsco students are invited to register for GT Instructional Seminars. Students will develop a broad range of advanced-level skills in an area of chosen interest. Seminars include Book Club, Debate, Green Team, TV Crew, Film Production, and Writers' Workshop. Students may register for more than one seminar, but no more than two that are regularly scheduled during class time. See Mrs. Warthen if you have any questions!
Note: Most students who participate in the seminars are compacted from their classes to participate in the seminar. However, each seminar is scheduled on a rotating basis in such a way that participants will miss a different class the next time the seminar meets. Participation in GT Instructional Seminars requires that students keep up with missed classwork and homework to maintain good grades.
Students are required to check in with their teacher for 5 minutes prior to attending each seminar. Most seminars will meet approximately every two weeks, and most seminars will begin in October. Students will be notified by email and on the Knight Show of the starting date and class period for the seminar.
